Reveen Arcziel 12 CPU Cooler

ThinkComputers just finished up a review of the Reveen Arcziel 12 heatpipe heatsink today and, to put it mildly, they were not impressed at all.

For whatever reason, whether it be the name Arcziel or the general round shape you see looking at this cooler installed, it absolutely makes me think of the Arc Reactor from Iron Man. You know, the fusion based device that keeps Tony alive and powers his techno suit of armor?

Grand Theft Auto V Delayed

While not totally unexpected, Rockstar's announcement that Grand Theft Auto V has been delayed for four months still kinda sucks. Fans of the franchise have taken to the company's forums to give the dev team a piece of their mind. eek!

Today, we have an official release date to share with you: Grand Theft Auto V will arrive in stores on September 17, 2013. We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.

WSJ and NYT Hacked By The Chinese

What's up with all these reports of the Chinese trying to hack everyone? Hmmm, maybe they weren't hacking, maybe they were just trying to avoid paying subscription fees just to read a news story. big grin

The Wall Street Journal said its computer systems had been infiltrated by Chinese hackers for the apparent purpose of monitoring the newspaper's China coverage. The infiltration at the Journal, along with reports of computer network breaches at the New York Times NYT and other news outlets, indicate that Chinese spying on U.S. media has become a widespread phenomenon.

Microsoft Sued Over Search-Related Patents

Remember the people that successfully sued Google and AOL last year over search-related patents? They are now suing Microsoft.

I/P Engine Inc said in the suit filed in Manhattan federal court that Microsoft uses search technology based on inventions by two employees of I/P Engine's parent company, Vringo Inc. Microsoft uses the technology in systems that generate advertisements and associated links for users of the world's largest software company's search engine, Bing, the lawsuit said.

Valve: The Biggest Threat To Consoles Is Apple

Polygon has good coverage of that lecture Gabe Newell gave at the University of Texas School of Public Affairs. According to Newell, the biggest threat to consoles right now is Apple. Here's a quote:

The biggest danger facing the success of Steam Box or any other PC ecosystem hoping to find space in the living room is Apple, according to a lecture given by Valve co-founder Gabe Newell to a class at the University of Texas' LBJ School of Public Affairs.
