BitFenix Prodigy M mATX Case

There is a review of the BitFenix Prodigy M mATX case over at Benchmark Reviews today that is certainly worth checking out today.

Using the frame of the original Prodigy, they reworked the internals to accommodate a micro ATX motherboard and all of the enthusiast configurations that go along with it. Even with its proven performance in ITX trim, can the Prodigy chassis keep up with mATX components?

Linux Worm Targeting Hidden Devices

Now would probably be a good time to update your router and change that default password. wink

Symantec has discovered a new Linux worm that appears to be engineered to target the "Internet of things". The worm is capable of attacking a range of small, Internet-enabled devices in addition to traditional computers. Variants exist for chip architectures usually found in devices such as home routers, set-top boxes and security cameras. Although no attacks against these devices have been found in the wild, many users may not realize they are at risk, since they are unaware they own devices that run Linux.

Sony Disabling PSN Features For EU Launch

What is the best way to make sure your PS4 online experience is good? Just disable features on your network and hope that works. big grin

We want to make sure that your online experience is positive. To help ensure that this happens, we have made the decision to switch off a couple of features for European customers on day one. These features will then be switched back on a few days later, once the intensity of launch day calms down. The features we are temporarily disabling are:

Google's Privacy Policy Breaks Dutch Laws

When will people learn that Google feels that it is above the law and, if you don't like it, too bad. Seriously, when is the last time you read one of these stories that ended with Google saying "No problem, we will respect the laws of your state / country. Sorry about that!" Ummm, never.

The Dutch Data Protection Authority (DPA) has just ended a seven-month investigation into the search giant's practices and, similar to rulings in the UK and France, has deduced that Google isn't doing enough to inform users about the data it "collects and combines." The DPA accuses Google of spinning an "invisible web of our personal data without our consent" with its Search, Gmail and YouTube services, which it states in no uncertain terms "is forbidden by law."

SilverStone Tundra TD02 AIO CPU Cooler

If you are in the market for a new A-I-O cooler, check out this review of the SilverStone Tundra TD02 at PureOverclock. For comparison purposes, you can see our evaluation here.

Since 2003 SilverStone has been bringing us unique and quality-built products like the TJ11 computer case, which is still being modded today, and exceptional air coolers. The SilverStone Tundra TD02 comes with 2 x 120mm PMW controlled fans that have a static pressure of 3.5mm/H20 and a max airflow of 92.5CFM. Will SilverStone’s first attempt at entering the AIO CPU cooling market be able to hang with the veterans?

Court Orders Google, Microsoft & Yahoo to Make Pirate Sites Disappear

I'm not sure how the French courts think this is going to work. Enforcing this is going to be a nightmare. Pirate sites pop up like weeds, change domains in a blink of any eye and even move servers to other countries if need be. frown

While its common for search engines to receive DMCA takedown requests for specific URLs, events in France have taken things to a whole new level. In order to protect the copyrights of film producers, the High Court of Paris has concluded a 2011 case by ordering Google, Microsoft and Yahoo to completely de-list 16 video streaming sites from their search results.
