Phanteks ENTHOO EVOLV ITX Computer Case Review
Little computer cases have gotten to be big business since the motherboard companies started building enthusiast featured mini-ITX motherboards. Phanteks' new EVOLV ITX case is not so little however as it is keeping in mind that users may want room to build their own water cooling loops or need room for a couple of AIO coolers.
Today we are reviewing the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX. Phanteks, primarily known for its CPU coolers and line of cooling fans, really knocked us off our feet with its first foray into the chassis market, the Phanteks Enthoo Primo. In the end, the company truly delivered on its "ultimate chassis" claims. The next chassis we reviewed from Phanteks was the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV and we followed that up with our evaluation of the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ATX. To say we are anxious to see what Phanteks can do with a mini-ITX chassis would be an understatement.
From the Phanteks about us page:
Phanteks was founded from a group of engineers with a total of 20 years of international experience in thermal solutions. They paired up with a Dutch design team and established Phanteks in 2007. Phanteks venture into the CPU cooling industry with two goals in mind, "High-end quality and innovative products in thermal solutions."
As a relatively young company, we strive to develop top quality and superior products. Our first product, PH-TC14PE, was a great success in the overclocking community. With the success we have made, we are more passionate in developing new and better innovative cooling solutions than ever. Our Phanteks Design Team is situated in the Netherlands and consists of creative researchers, designers and developers whose only desires are to bring the latest cutting edge technology to you.
We are continuously pursuing excellence in thermal solutions so that we can develop and bring satisfaction to the enthusiasts and computer users everywhere. Our goal is to be the best in the industry and our motto is "no job is impossible."
The product page for the Phanteks EVOLV ATX states:
Big on features and small in size, the Enthoo EVOLV ITX is a budget oriented chassis that uses a metal exterior. The case introduces a new unique bracket solution for mounting a radiator on top and a multifunctional bracket for reservoir, pump, and SSD/HDD.
If the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX is anything like its larger siblings, you are definitely in for a treat.
The Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX, like the previous Enthoo Evolv chassis we've reviewed, was shipped inside a cardboard outer box that had a few bumps and bruises but no serious damage. The product packaging inside the outer box was in pristine condition. The overall package measurements are 20"H x 18"L x 13"W and is constructed of double-walled corrugated cardboard with a double row of staples along the seams.
The front of the outer box prominently features a hero shot of the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX. The inner box also features a hero shot of the Phanteks Enthoo EVOLV ITX and product information with a list of features on the back and sides. The case itself is covered with a plastic bag and held in place by thick Styrofoam inserts.
