No Watch Dogs Demo

In general, I am very leery of games that do not have a demo these days. Considering the fact that Watch Dogs missed its huge next-gen console launch due to delays, I am not buying the "demos take time" excuse. What are your thoughts on games without demos?

Answering a question on Twitter, Jonathan Morin tweets that there will be no demo version of Watch Dogs, Ubisoft's upcoming open-world hacking game. He says: "They are no demo planned before release," adding an explanation: "Doing Demos take time, the focus is on the game. You will see more footage before release." Thanks GameSpot.

Limiting Screen Time Is Good For Kids

I wish I knew where to sign up for grants to conduct CO* studies like this. I could make a fortune doing WW*, SB* and FH* studies.

Considering that children average more than 40 hours of screen time a week, not counting time spent on a computer at school, even small changes can make a difference, researchers said. They are not suggesting parents completely eliminate screen time, but find a healthy balance.

Facebook's Latest Design Was So Good It Failed

How can anything be "so good it failed?" Then again, this is Facebook we are talking about, why am I even asking that question? big grin

After an investigation into the problem by Facebook’s data team, they discovered that the new News Feed was performing too well. It was performing so well from a design standpoint that users no longer felt the need to browse areas outside of the News Feed as often, so they were spending less time on the site. Unfortunately, this change in user behavior led to fewer advertisement impressions, which led, ultimately, to less revenue.

New Xbox Head Promises Renewed Focus On Gaming

I guess this is pretty good news if you are an Xbox 360 / Xbox One owner.

This past year has been a growth experience both for me and for the entire Xbox team. We've taken feedback, made our products better and renewed our focus on what is most important, our customer. Our mission is to build a world-class team, work hard to meet the high expectations of a passionate fan base, create the best games and entertainment and drive technical innovation. As we continue forward, this renewed focus and mission will be a foundational part of how I lead the Xbox program.

Corsair Graphite 760T Full Tower Case

Legit Reviews took the Corsair Graphite 760T around the block a few times today to see what it was made of. If you need a full-tower case, you don't want to miss this review.

Corsair is constantly releasing new enclosures and expanding their products lines. The Graphite series of cases is one of four lines, and so far includes two models, the entry level Graphite 230T and the enthusiast grade 600T; both of which are mid-tower cases. Corsair has now expanded the line with the Graphite 730T and 760T, a full tower model.

How To Stop People Tagging You In Twitter Photos

The totally obvious "don't have a Twitter account" answer was somehow overlooked. big grin

Which means that you can tag your photos to include the names of the people who appear in them. Or, if you wanted to, tag your photos with the name of any Twitter users you wished. Which, as the spammers will no doubt soon discover, is a great way to attract people to your site, even if only because they're curious to see who tagged them.

New Glitch Hits Site

The website has been hit by glitch #3,859,883. No need to worry, the government says it will "resolve the issue as quickly as possible." roll eyes (sarcastic)

The tech team monitoring in real time has identified an issue with users creating new accounts. The application and enrollment tools are unavailable to new users at the moment," Albright said. "The tech team is working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
